Gold Country Water Polo Club

Bringing Water Polo Opportunities to the Youth of El Dorado County

Gold Country Water Polo Club was established in 2020 as an answer to keep kids playing water polo during the covid shut downs. When schools and facilities closed, we took to the lakes and travel for the love of water polo.

Since then, through the leadership of our founder, Adam Donovan, Gold Country has created a thriving water polo community in El Dorado County for youth of all ages

Adam is the head Coach and Program Director for the water polo program at Ponderosa High School. He is an alumni of UC Davis, where he played polo and rowed crew, graduating with a degree in engineering.

Gold Country is a registered club with USA Water Polo. We participate in some of the largest tournaments available, including Futures and Junior Olympics. We run sessions for a variety of age groups, using local pool at Ponderosa High School and Union Mine High School, with the goal of growing experience level and love for the sport.
